Premier Pipe
THE RENOVATION PROCESS PREMIER-PIPE, USA™ is a cured in place pipe renovation process which is installed without the need for costly and disruptive excavation. PREMIER-PIPE, USA™ linings are individually manufactured to suit the dimensions of the pipes to be lined; the lining thickness is determined by individual design requirements. The lining tube is made of polyester felt with an outer coating of polyurethane. The tube is impregnated thoroughly with a liquid resin chosen to suit the working environment of the pipe. Once impregnated with resin, the PREMIER-PIPE, USA is installed using the inversion method. The lead end of the PREMIER-PIPE, USA is turned inside out for a predetermined length and clamped to a collar over the manhole. Water is then introduced into the turned back section creating a head, which causes the lining to continue turning inside out along the defective pipe. The constant addition of water maintains the head, keeping the lining inverted and ensuring it is held firmly against the host pipe. When the installation is complete, the water in the lining is circulated through a mobile water boiler to gradually raise the water temperature to achieve a controlled cure of the resin. Once the cure is complete, the ends of the newly formed pipe are cut and trimmed. Air Inversion & Steam Curing is also available for 6" - 24" PIPE PREPARATION Prior to the installation of a PREMIER-PIPE, USA lining, the pipeline is cleaned and inspected using a pan and tilt CCTV camera. This is to ensure the pipeline is free of silt, debris, tree roots or intrusions which could adversely affect the lining installation. At this stage, lateral connections are accurately plotted, so they can be reopened upon completion of lining. Upon completion of the installation of the new PREMIER-PIPE, USA liner, the lateral connections are reopened using a remotely controlled cutter. After initially drilling a pilot hole in the lining, the cutting head follows the shape of the incoming lateral. Use of a pan and tilt CCTV camera during the cutting operation ensures that no lips are left, which could snag foul material. Once all laterals are reopened, a final CCTV survey is performed. MANUFACTURING AND LINING DESIGN PREMIER-PIPE, USA is individually manufactured to suit the dimensions the pipes to be lined; the lining thickness is determined by individual design requirements. PREMIER-PIPE, USA linings are designed in accordance with ASTMF-1216 and testing guidelines D-638 and D-790. QUALITY PREMIER-PIPE, USA materials are manufactured under ISO 9002 conditions, ensuring consistent high standards are maintained. TRAINING PREMIER-PIPE, USA personnel are trained and certified to the highest recognized standards associated with worksite safety, confined space entry and all job-specific related safety training by trained and certified teaching professionals. PREMIER-PIPE, USA requires ongoing in-house and external health and safety courses for all personnel employed in the rehabilitation of pipelines. |
